Here’s some news of events
happening over the next few weeks which I am sure you will be interested
in attending.
Saturday12th April
10-12am–
Please come and support the coffee morning to raise funds for the YP.
Make a cake, bring books we can sell and enjoy being together
Sunday 20th April
– Junior Soldiers Day of Renewal. We have the amazing puppet team from
Clowne Corps coming to lead us on this day – it will be great.
May
– Junior Soldier’s Camp .Have a great time everyone – what a great crowd
of you going!
14/15th
June
– our YP Anniversary Weekend. We have special guests Chris and Karen
Sandford coming to lead us for the weekend. On the Saturday we will
gather for a fun hour 4-5pm, bring our own tea and then share in a
festival at 6pm. How many people can you persuade to come on that
Saturday evening. The Singing company and YP band will be taking part.
We are also excited because young people will be coming from Stapleford
and Hucknall to contribute to the event.
We will enjoy a Sunday
focused on the YP too.
Saturday 28th June
– This is a special day in our Corps. We are sharing in activities that
focus on our heritage and there are two sessions organised for the
children. Details are being put together. It is hoped that the special
guests from London will lead a session in the morning 10.30 -12.30am
focusing on the Salvation Army and then a funky worship/games session to
be held 14.30-16.30pm. This will take place in our YP hall. You will
need to book a place for this in advance. Forms to be available soon.
It should be a great day.
Saturday 19th July
– Anybody fancy a game of footie or rounders at Wollaton Park/. Let’s
meet at 10.30am, bring a picnic if you want to. The sun’s gonna shine!!
